2024 Eclipse Texas weather heads-up

For those planning to photograph the 2024 April 8th total eclipse in Texas - heads up.

I live in central Texas not far north of Austin and within path of totality.

Current weather forecasts are now indicating significant chances of rain and clouds beginning Sat 6th/Sun 7th and lasting possibly thru Tues 9th. Current rain probabilities showing at 50-60% during those days.

It ain't pretty but it is what it is....or will be.

Plan accordingly.

I’m supposed to fly to Dallas on the 7th. Have refundable plane tickets if it does not make sense to go.

The 7-day NOAA cloud forecast along the eclipse path does not look very good in most places.

Will continue to watch, as shorter term forecasts tend to be more accurate.
