A blast from my past

When I was a kid I'd always roll some of the larger rocks bordering my grandparents' garden to look for whatever critters might be beneath. I don't remember ever rolling one of those rocks without finding some small orange ants underneath. On this rainy afternoon I picked up an old piece of iron in the yard and what did I find -- some tiny orange ants. I've never known what species were under my grandparents' stones, but the ones I found today were smaller citronella ants --

Yeah I know it's a noisy picture, it was severely cropped and shot at 1,000 ISO.
