A couple of rainy day birds

Big thunderstorm with heavy rain this afternoon, as the rain slowed down and started to clear the yard was full of birds so I pulled out the camera for some images like these. Gotta say, I love shooting on the edges of weather when the light is soft.

That's a male Western Tanager in the second image, they've just started showing up in the valley over the past few weeks and I love seeing them in their breeding plumage.
