These guys are ferocious and very successful hunters, the poor Red-veined Dropwing did not stand a chance against the Bottletail. This taken on the Zambezi river near Livingstone in Zambia.

Nicely done. Beautiful. A satisfying pastime of mine is to watch one of the dragonflies we have here pick mosquitoes out of the air; better is when I get to see them grab a horse or deer fly!
