Here in Northern Kentucky, the spring ephemerals are showing their stuff. This is my favorite time of the year. Nothing really "artistic" or creative but just my vision on the beauty around us.

Squirrel Corn - related to the Dutchman's britches but more of a bunch on the end of a stalk vs. the arched stalk and the squirrel corn lacks the yellow at the bottom of the flower.

Here are a couple.

Giant white fawn lily
Flowering currant
Beautiful. Your Fawn Lily looks a lot like our Trout lily only larger. Thank you for sharing. We don't have azalea wild here. A lot in ornamental plantings and they will not be blooming for a few more weeks. In the Appalachian Mountains about 3 hours drive south and east of here mountain laurel and wild azalea grow in abundance but just not here in the "lowlands" of Kentucky.
