Thanks for your nice words. I thoroughly enjoyed reviewing your website which is quite a visual representation of your vast talent and passion.Excellent images! Both are very pleasing but for different reasons!
You are correct. It was great light and I dont know much, but getting low generally works out better.Like the long shadow of Lark and step action. Very nice low angle sun on these guys. Very nice
Thanks Woody. I also enjoyed snapping that one better as well because they are pretty quick even in sand.Excellent photos, especially the horned lark.
Thanks!!I agree these are beautiful shots!
Ralph, you will get a snowy...I know it!Beautiful Dan!
I so appreciate your kind words. For someone who only picks up a camera 3-4 times a year, comments like that are very encouraging! Thanks for your nice words. I thoroughly enjoyed reviewing your website which is quite a visual representation of your vast talent and passion.
I’ve been reading reports that one has been observed at Sandy Hook, about 45 minutes from my house, but the weather has been really bad. I’m going to give it a shot on Saturday.Ralph, you will get a snowy...I know it!
Thanks Rich. These photos were taken in Nassau County, Long Island at the ocean. The Snowys seem to like the dunes.Very nice. You have a great eye. Where were these taken?
YAH!!! Dan I finally saw a snowy owl today. There were reports of one down on Long Beach Island, NJ. Drove down, walked about 2 miles looking through the dunes. No luck. Then on my return trip to the car I spotted him or her. Took a few shots before it took off. Not as nice as yours but I’ll take it.Ralph, you will get a snowy...I know it!

I took this one at 12800 ISO shutter speed 1/2000 right after sunrise. Totally overcast. Tried with Lightroom but I’m no expert…..
