While driving along a remote MT highway this afternoon I spotted a couple of Sandhill Cranes out in an ag field and pulled over. Luckily they were perfectly positioned in front of an open gate, and I was able to watch them for about 15 minutes. During that time, the male (I assume) was jumping around, bowing, chasing, etc the female, who was absolutely not buying what he was selling. She paid no mind to him in the least and eventually, he gave up. Here are some of those shots.
