A very cooperative Black-capped Chickadee

I took this from my car. I heard a Black-capped Chickadee close by so I stuck some sticks in the ground about 10-15 feet away, ensuring I had a clean fairly distant background. I then pished for the bird and it landed right on my perch to investigate! It stayed for about 5-10 seconds which was plenty of time to fire off a bunch of shots. Since there was enough light and the background was distant enough, I stopped down to F/7.1 which is apparently the sweet spot of the 200-500.

All shots taken at 1/800 F/7.1 ISO 560

Nicely done. A few of these swooped in and landed on my car and at my feet as I was getting ready to hike into some wetlands today. Love these little guys; I had no food so they moved on :)
