Neil and his wife Connie were visiting and I met up with them yesterday morning. We had a nice walk around the Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch.
I didn't think there were that many birds at the start but we managed to find a few along with some interesting light. Here are a sample of mine and I am sure he will add some of theirs. All of my images were with the Z9 and 600PF. I found myself a bit tight at times as you can see.

I arrived a few minutes early and it was clear so I grabbed a moon shot.

The greeting committee- Welcome to the Ranch

Don't you love it here.

A few looking for a meal

At about 8:30 am the light shining off the water made for some interesting designs on the birds

I also did a test of various ISOs on one species of duck. Only the first one was run through LR Denoise on the subject. These aren't the same duck and were taking a different times. I did this for the use case of posting to electronic media such as sharing with family and friends or viewing on a large TV at home.

I still have to ID the brown ones…but for me the reflected light shots on the Snowy Egrets were the highlight of the day. We had a wonderful time with you…although Connie complained later that we kept wandering off when she wanted to stop for a shot. And seriously…try the La Hacienda at the Fairmont…expensive but worth it.
