On our extended western trip we visited many beautiful and significant places. After visiting Chaco, the next day we visited the Acoma Pueblo and Sky City which is cited as the longest continuously occupied dwelling area in North America. The city was closed so we did not get to tour, and no photos are allowed up there even when you can visit. We did get some longer views and shots of the surrounding valley. Amazing history and well worth the visit.
For the first two shots we had good open skies and amazing light. The third shot was through a closed car window at about 45mph while the last shot was from the valley rim and the clouds had moved in along with a bit of heat haze. Still nice views. If you look closely at the last shot you can see the steeples of the San Estevan del Rey mission dating to 1629 and still in use. what a beautiful place!
