African Fish Eagle fishing

We have seen the African Fish Eagle catching fish but never like this. (S)he was on the ground at the edge of the dam. It hopped onto a dead free stump and as I was shooting it, it immediately took off right into the face of the camera, grabbed a small fish and was off. Nearly every image out of the 39 shot was is focus.

I seldom use group as it does not respond to subjects on my D500. Only against blue sky and then it takes its time too. I use 25 points. My D500 is set up since forever and I only change EV and sometimes SS and Aperture. 99% of my images are F/7.1

I’ve never tried 25 point. I think next time I go out to shoot I’ll give it a try. Group can get a little cranky at times but that’s what i’ve been using.
