Beginning of the week I found a bobcat mother I have seen a few times (did not see her kitten). I have not processed these (other than downsizing for web), so these are all camera JPEG with no additional cropping. West Tucson, USA. Images 1-5 taken on Nikon Z8 with 600PF; image 6 taken on Nikon Z6iii with 70-200 f2.8 .
01: Found bobcat sitting on ground, then she sat up.
02: She started stalking birds in a pond but to get in position stayed away from edge and walked straight towards me.
03: She stopped and was sitting so close I could barely fit all of her in the 600mm frame (and did not want to take time to swap cameras).
04: Another photographer joined me and we watched as she gave up on pond and stalked away towards the street.
05: Other photographer and I hurried back opposite direction to an access point in the other natural area she entered across the street, where we found her on path.
06: We lost her and parted ways, but later at dusk another visitor showed me where she was poised watching a rodent. Due to close distance and low light, I stepped away to switch cameras and then went back.
