I recently had good luck shooting late afternoon Sandhills coming in for the evening at a local wildlife refuge. Here's one I got. D500, Nikon 200-500 lens, Nikon 1.4 TC, hand held, 1/2500th, f 8.0, 280mm, ISO 1250, AI Clear
