Wanted to share my once in a lifetime experience with an albino hummingbird. Due to location I assume a ruby throated. There is some speculation that it may be Leucistic rather than albino pink bill, eyes, and feet but a few dark areas on the body. It was exciting no matter what you call it!

Very nice and unusual. A question - albino or leucosistic? Albino = pink eyes. The eyes seem dark.

I have pictures In the sunlight and the eyes definitely look pink. I’m not sure what the final official decision was. It seems to be a mix lol Leucistic usually has dark bill, legs and eyes

One reason why perusing feathered models are so rewarding, they often leave us with a sense of wonder!

Cool! Thinking however given the pigment in the eyes and I think I see some dark spots, as well, that it's likely not albino but leucistic.

There are definitely dark spots on the feathers but the eyes are reddish in the sunlight. I have no idea tho. It was exciting to get to see!
