I share your love of Kestrels. I’m envious of this BIF image. I believe you are much closer to this kestrel than any I have shot in flight except one, which is not as sharp as I would like or this photo of yours. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your comments, much appreciated. I have photographed this female and another male fairly extensively this year, primarily in the winter months. They frequent an area that has an abundant vole population and they stay in that area throughout the year.
