A photo I took last year shows you that timing and a little luck come in handy when shooting birds in flight. I was facing the opposite direction of this osprey when I saw a large shadow out of the corner of my eye. I whirled around and saw this osprey with a sunfish and was able to get off about five or six shots before he flew away. Photo was taken with the Nikon Z50 and the Nikon Z 50mm-250mm lens. Unfortunately I didn't catch the whole bird as parts of his wings were cut off.
