An unusually colored hummingbird this year

If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).

We have hummingbirds here every summer (Upstate NY) but this is a first for us... BTW I have some better shots but the site says they are too large and unfortunately I don't know how to change that.

Yeah, very pale colors there and not like any hummers I've seen. It could be a breed I'm not familiar with or perhaps a low pigmentation or albino version of something more common.

What photo processing software do you have? Most have a method of resizing images either as part of an export dialog (e.g. Lightroom) or an image resize option (Photoshop). There are third party and even free image resizing applications out there and you can even use tools like Paint on a PC to open an image and resize it. Lot's of ways to get the image size down for web posts but it depends on what software you have access to.

RichardN, the sizing/resizing of a photo usually occurs within the software you use to display/view/post process your images. Even phones have some capability.
It is a learned skill and one that will really help you with these forums and web sites.
We can help, just ask?
