This is an Australasian Darter in flight at Goegrup Lake Reserve in Western Australia, I have caught plenty of images of this unusual bird perching or in the water, this is the first time I have been able to get some images while in flight.

It is also referred to as a Snake Bird because of it's long neck and head that is similar to a snake.
