Thanks. I agree. Expending a lot of energy for such a small meal. I guess they add up.

Really nicely done, Ralph. That's a bucket list bird for me. To capture them skimming that is. I've got static and BIF shots of them but not skimming. I'm amazed their beak is sensitive enough to feel such a small fish.

Thanks Dan. They are a very different animal for sure. I have never seen this many skimmers. I‘ve seen more skimmers in one day this year than I‘ve seen in my entire life. Prior to this year, I’ve only seen them twice fishing , ever.
