Another high ISO shot; a Black Solitaire.

This bird, although certainly not rare, is more frequently heard than seen. It occurs only in Colombia and northern Ecuador. It is related to our American Robins and other thrushes. This image was taken in the Amagusa Reserve in far NE Ecuador. This reserve has planted a variety of fruiting trees that this species (and many others) love to eat. The managers of the reserve have planted different species of trees and shrubs that fruit at different times of the year, so many of these birds that are difficult to see elsewhere can be seen dependably here.
A Black Solitaire, while not colorful, is striking.
This shot was taken with a Canon R5, a Canon 600 mm f/4.0 lens; SS 1/2000, f/4.0, ISO 10,000, processed with PS and Topaz DeNoise AI.

Striking looking bird. The little bit of white and the color on the beak really make it a standout. And the black against the green and orange really goes well. Nice job.

Wonderful image of the bird, berries and mossy background. Thanks for all the info!
