Acted like a humming bird, never landed and darted around constantly. Southwestern Pennsylvania 30 miles east of Pittsburgh.

Yup, it's a hummingbird clearwing moth (Hemaris thysbe). They really like those wild bergamot; it's around those flowers that I've gotten every photo I've ever taken of that species of moth.
 
Since it's been confirmed I'll just agree. I see them around my butter fly bush a lot. In fact I just posted one today. I can mount my gimble head to my deck railing and my butter fly bush is only about 12' away. I use my sigma 150-600C.
