Thanks Tadzio --- I had been trying for years in Spain to capture an image of these big, floppy, butterflies and in the end I am very happy with this shot as it shows off the wing colourations pretty well .
It's certainly dwarves most of the other local residents by a mile, and can glide for quite a distance without a single wing beat, so to get a decent shot requires a lot of legwork !He's like the Dragon in Avatar that's twice the size of everyone else...
