Back in March of 2018, I had the chance to visit the extreme north west peninsula of Iceland. The area is known as Hornstrandir. Our sole purpose of the trip was to spend a week in a remote farmhouse and photograph the local Arctic Foxes. Many hours dug into the snow allowed close contact with resilient animals. Most of the animals were seen in pairs as it was breeding season and were very territorial.
The foxes below are all "Blue Phase" although we did see one or two pure white foxes as well. These "Blue" foxes turn a slightly darker grey in the summer but are never white.
