Australian Parrots

If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).

We have 54 species of this colourful, intelligent and adaptable bird and they cover much of our continent.

Uniquely among birds they have two toes forward and two backward, giving them strength and agility. They'll often be seen hanging onto a branch with one foot while nibbling food held in the other.

More species coming later.
