Northern Kruger, Pafuri. Mopane thicket changing colour. These Mopane trees would grow quite tall if given a chance but are kept in constant check by the Elephants!

Love the winter veld, Dave; lovely image. Interesting, the difference in the size of the boss on the buffs. Although this one has quite a horn spredd, the boss is small.

Very true Callie, I think this was a straggler from one of the large herds in the Limpopo valley floodplain, rather than a "Dagga Boy"
