I wanted to get some bird photographs in our backyard Redbud while it was in bloom, but it's not a favorite of our birds. So I moved a feeder nearby and put some seed in the tree. The Mockingbird thought it was a bad idea but made a (feeble) attempt to co-operate.
Then, when others had not come around, this squirrel offered to substitute - as long as he could gobble up all of the seed in the tree.
So I got my photographs with backyard critters in a blooming (literally - not English slang) Redbud tree.
Stay tuned for Chapter 2.
