This scene was challenging since early sunrise is when the Bald Cypress trees take on their fantastic colors this time of the year, turning earlier than other trees. Additionally the trees along the pond are still in shade and dark - difficult to capture in detail when exposing for the bright sky, pond and cypress trees. This image is a combination of two HDR panoramas. The first is what is called "natural". The second panorama was another HDR with more tone mapping to bring out the colors of the far trees and enhance the glow of the Bald Cypress. The second toned mapped panorama was blended onto the natural panorama at a low to moderate opacity covering only applied to the the foliage and its reflection.

very pretty shot. Water is perfect, even appears you captured a little morning mist off the water.
