As the Bald Eagle has finally become the U.S.'s official national bird I'm posting some pics on behalf of this beautiful and regal bird. These shots were taken on an island near Homer, AK, on a trip with Chris Dodd Photography. FYI: these eagles, although wild, were baited, a practice that seems to have been taking place on this site at least for many years.
