This is probably my favorite shot since starting this addictive hobby. I spent 10 hours Saturday hunting eagles (my favorite subject along with owls) Even went half way home and decided to head back. Man, am I glad I did.

Took this with my Z9 with the 400 4.5 with 2.0TC on it so I was at F9 and 10000 ISO so I could at least stay at 1/1250. It was overcast and getting late in the day so I needed every bit of light I could get.

The 4.1 with bird detection locked on for the entire series. First he came in from the left, missed a fish, turned around and came back around and down the same path. The whole sequence gave me about 80 keepers. Only regret is not being able to go over 1/1250 to freeze the water splashes a little better.

Only editing is the built in Lightroom Denoise and moved a few of the sliders around. Nothing crazy. Even at ISO 10000, it wasn't overly grainy to begin with.

Awesome shot! I like the water splash the way it is. Gives the feeling of speed.đź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ť
