Bald Eagle with beak damage

I was driving to my property in n
another county in southern Wisconsin, and saw an eagle feeding in a snow covered corn field. Something about it didn't look quite right, it landed nearby, and I captured a few images. the poor thing has quite a deformation of its beak. Wonder how/when this happened.
