After a fruitless couple of hours waiting for kingfishers, this Banded Rail arrived.
At first with one youngster, which she fed with a crab.
Then another youngster arrived, that was when the fight started !!
After a very slow start, a great day with the camera !!

Beautiful Maurice! That’s the great thing about waiting for kingfishers. You never know what’s going to show up along the wat.
