I use the Fringer adapter with both the Nikon 300PF and the 500PF. The autofocus combined with the stacked sensor is a great improvement over the XT3 but probably not as good as Sony and Canon at the moment The last fw update made a big difference and should improve further. Suffice to say that I’m about to put my D500 up for sale

This one was certainly hunting on the wing. I saw it hover and swoop down on a couple of occasions, unfortunately too far away for a decent photo
