I take a lot of photos [ maybe 1000 ] on a rare big day out. Over the last seven or so years I have noticed that very occassionally I get a result that is much better than my usual results. I think I have mentioned this previously. A person here [ sorry I forget who ] put me onto 'phase angle'.
The following image was obtained using a Canon R7 and Canon 100-400 Mk 2 with a Sigma 1.4 extender.
f8 1/3200 Sec ISO 1600 Hand held

After cropping and PP it was 20.4 MB

My question is this:

We spend a lot of time and effeort trying to get a good image. Is the end result due to the nature and angle of light?
