During the trip to the Weld River there were the dreaded buzzy now starting to fruit.
Known most commonly as the "buzzy" Bidgee Widgee (Acaena novae-zekandiae) plant 50 -100mm tall, fruit 20 25mm diameter.
It can be seen why these have the name buzzy and why they are a nuisance in the bush as they attach to just about anything that touches them and can be really hard to remove.
