This is a very nice portrait of a ram, but I am curious about the bg. Was he standing in front of a fence?
There were 2 big rams but the other one was wearing an ear tag. They were in a field by a water treatment plant that has a wrought iron fence around it. To be honest, one person living in the area picks up old doughnuts from Jerry’s Cakes and Doughnuts and feeds this BH Sheep herd on occasion. As a result these animals are so tame they will eat right out of your hand. I don’t condone that but they do make for easy photography. We do have other much wilder herds in several locations here in the Black Hills.
