I think this is a Northern Shrike which would be uncommon around here.

Thanks, that's what I came up with too.Merlin Bird ID on my phone identifies it as a Northern Shrike. My guess is it's a juvie.

Thanks so much for the additional information.A great shot, capturing an " on the lookout " pose. I agree with Icarus, its almost certainly an immature Northern (over here referred to as a great Grey Shrike ) rather than an imm. Loggerhead Shrike.
