Bison were introduced to the North Rim and adjoining Kaibab National Forest in early 1900's. These pictures were taken in the Park where there is no hunting and they know that. Efforts to hunt those that wander into the Forest have not managed the herd. In recent years the Park Service has started programs of live capture and transfer to Tribes as well as lethal culling.
