Took a quick trip north to Turkey, Tx for a project I am working on and decided to take a quick detour to Caprock Canyons State Park. The state bison herd is located there and they didn't dissapoint as they were near the headquarters and blocking the road. They were hanging out around a wallow and grazing in the area. We had to wait for them to move off the road and a big bull came walking by as we sat there. This was the first time I have ever taken pictures of wildlife with a wide angle lens as we were so close to them. I stayed in the truck as we took these images.
