Black Phoebe

Comments and critiques welcome and appreciated. As you may not know, please keep this in mind for this post, I am more of a birder than a photographer. Yesterday I got a report of a Northern Parula here in SoCal, so I ventured out to see if I could find it around 1:20pm. That’s the reason why this Black Phoebe photo has a little too harsh of light, but I liked it anyway. Thanks!

I like the pose allot....I have a handful of this particular species and I keep going for more until I reach Nirvana....ha ha, never gonna happen. I agree with the previous poster, if you moved the bird to the right a bit and let him look into the distance, would tell a story a bit more. Not sure if you work with lightroom, but I'll bet you could tone down the harsh light on the rock, darken the bird feathers, and enhance this already great shot. Nice one....congrats.
