Black-winged kite

Love it when birds are cooperating :) This black-winged kite surely did during the drive in Serengeti, Tanzania.

Love these birds they are otherworldly with their red eyes. Unfortunately, I only see them when I am fortunate enough to travel to Africa, the ME, or SE Asia. I believe that this specimen is more properly referred to as a Black Winged Kite rather than a Black shouldered Kite which is usually ascribed to the variant which lives in Australia. Excellent capture.

You are 100% right on the naming, never paid attention after typing it. Got the name right in my LightRoom library, just the mind that did his own thing when posting. Will correct it now.
