Blue Moon

Well not quite landscape, but this year has seen more time at home and less field use for my 600mm lens. So here is my version of a recent full moon. I've blended the stars as the moon by itself I thought was lacking.

The moon image is a single shot cropped; Nikon D850 with the Tamron 150-600mm G2 lens. 200ISO, 1/1000sec at f8.

I'm new to moon processing so interested in those more experienced and knowledgable's thoughts...

Super crisp moon image.

Adding the stars makes it very surreal as we never see the night sky that way (full moon with a field of stars surrounding it) but it's pretty cool in a Star Wars kind of way and it certainly makes it a different kind of look :)

You did a great job processing the moon with great detail!

@gordon_g ~ I was wondering why you said the moon's orientation looks tilted ~ ;) 🌜and low and behold, it was as I saw it the last time I looked!😁 Bad things, hemispheres!

LOL. right! It's amazing how different the appearance can be... the first time I had to do a double take.... my brain was like wait, that's not right... (it does that a lot though! LOL )
