Blue-winged Teal Drake

From the Salton Sea in Southern California. Critiques greatly appreciated!

Canon R7, sigma 150-600mm C lens handheld, at 600mm. 1/2000 at f/7.1, ISO 400. Probably should’ve had my SS at 1/4000, I had a lot of light. The photo wasn’t tack sharp, so I ran it the through Remini on my iPad, also processed through Adobe photoshop express, also on my iPad.

Beautiful bird. I really like the wing position, the BG, and the water drops. Nice job.

Really nice shot of a beautiful bird. Head angle, wing position, BG, exposure-all really nice. Obviously that camera-lens combo did the job. If I was to be really picky, the large white spot in front of the bird is distracting, but that does not take away from a really nice image.

I really like the BG and the water drops. I personally would have added/kept a bit more room on the right side, but that's just a personal preference.

I agree with Dan. I would like to see better technical quality but sometime these things are beyond our control.

Big crop, but at least you kept the bird in the frame. I would think, not so easy to do with these bullets.
