Bobcat hunting at Pt Reyes

Was fortunate to be able to watch a bobcat hunting this week at Pt Reyes. The bobcat wasn't at all disturbed by my presence as I sat still watching and taking this video. In fact, the bobcat walked right by me (filling the frame). Unfortunately for the bobcat (and me), the hunt was unsuccessful. I was handholding my Nikon Z8 with the 400mm f/4.5 and an attached 1.4 TC.

Lovely footage Ricardo! (y) (y) (y)
I'm so envious... your subject was so close that it walked right up to you and filled the frame giving you amazing image quality while my subjects were 1000 feet and more away 😭giving crazy atmospheric interference and heat shimmer and pretty crappy image quality. (n) Oh well, such is life.

Thank you so much Rudy! Yep, have had trouble with atmospherics in the past when the bobcats were further away, Got lucky this time to have such a relaxed cat.
