I was out checking on a new Loon nest and spotted a few Bobolinks while walking to the wetland. I liked how the tail was splayed and the out-of focus grass heads.

Very nice shot. I don't see many images of these birds here. I have some near me in a meadow but I have not been successful with getting a shot yet.

Thanks! Yes, they tend to stay down in the grass if not flying. The Fish and Wildlife department is doing rotational mowing this year to stay ahead of invasive weeds, so they have been a bit easier to spot.
