Wonderful series of a beautiful bird! This may be my favorite bird to photograph. Have been to Kearney twice and there are large numbers of Sandhills in Wisconsin but still hoping to get to Bosque someday.

Terrific set of images. How was Bosque this year?
Hi. I have one more day here. Bosque is nothing like it was years ago in numbers of birds, at least that was my experience two years ago and this time. Ladd Gordon seems to be the preferred stop these days. Tons of cranes there as well as snow geese. But the opportunity for good Sandhill crane shots works better for me at Bosque as I only need one at a time…🤣.

Thanks for your reply, that's why I passed on going to Bosque this year. Last year was the same not many birds at all in the Bosque, it was Bernardo that all of the action was taking place. Keep the images coming always interested in seeing images from that area.
