With the large waves rolling into the shallower water and breaking towards the McKinley Marina breakwater, I was able to capture this series of a single wave coming in. All shots cropped to 16:9/38.3mp for consistent framing. A beautiful opportunity and this series best captures the beauty and fury of the stormy day. I plan to work on the spray detail a bit more.
The Great Lakes storms in the fall are a sight to see. The strongest storms are yet to come - think Lake Superior and the Edmund Fitzgerald.
