I was in Estes Park, CO the first week of November and came across 200 plus elk on the 9 hole golf course behind the Visitors Center. The elk have full run of the small town and can be found almost anywhere in the parks and neighborhood. I generally find more elk in town than I do in Rocky Mountain NP. The rut was almost over but this bull didn't want to miss an opportunity.
