Bullock's Blast Off

I managed to snag a swell looking male bullock's oriole taking off this morning with a nice, contrasting shaded hillside in the background. Does the cropping work?

Quite like the lighting and background, as well as composition. Hard to tell with the downsized files here, but it looks slightly soft to me?? Also, I’m not a huge fan of the wing pose. Any other shots in the sequence?
