Great photo! I'd be tempted to try a cropped version leaving out the one Hippo drinking, IOW a shot of the sleeping pile that filled the frame for a different kind of look.

Kind words, cheers. Got to keep PC in these modern time’s! Good suggestion from Callie. Tried to crop to keep some space above the sleeper but the legs of the standing one were too tricky to remove so I had to crop very tight. Always helpful to perspectives from others. Great group we have gathered in these forums.

I'm probably too biased but I really like the tighter crop as it seems the Hippos in the pile is the visual story here

Both pics now tell me a different story. The first, of a leader maintaining some form of awareness whilst his minions relax under his watch; the second, of what hippos spend most of their time doing - sheer daytime laziness.
