One of the two sandgrouse one normally see in the Kgalagadi. The male and female are dimorphic. They fly in in small and large flocks and arrive normally between 07:30 and 09:00 in summer at certain waterholes.
They drink quickly and are just as quickly off. I have spend many hours trying to nail these guys coming and going.
